Heather Marx – Managing Attorney Biography

Ms. Marx received her undergraduate education from the University of Florida,  ( https://www.ufl.edu ) where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha (Gamma Iota) during her tenure. She received her degree in 2001 with the highest honors. Thereafter, Ms. Marx attended the University of Miami School of Law (https://www.law.miami.edu) where she graduated in 2004. Ms. Marx is admitted to practice both in Florida (2004) and in Colorado (2007). Ms. Marx is also admitted to the United States District Court of Colorado.

Ms. Marx is a seasoned attorney who has extensive experience in a multitude of different areas of legal practice. These areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, the following: all areas of complex civil and domestic litigation; multistate management of civil litigation matters; contract drafting and business law matters; judgment enforcement; and appellate practice.

Prior to moving to Colorado and founding the Marx Law Office, LLC, Ms. Marx began her practice in Florida where she worked both as a law clerk and an attorney, at some of the nation’s most prestigious law firms. Indeed, Ms. Marx had the honor of working alongside world renown criminal defense attorney – Jeffrey S. Weiner, Esq. – as a law clerk, where she got her feet wet practicing all levels of criminal defense work.

Ms. Marx continued her career as an associate for Siegfried, Rivera, Lerner, De La Torre & Sobel, P.A. (now known as Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel, P.A.) practicing Community Association Law, Complex Commercial Litigation, Construction Defect Litigation and Complex Construction Litigation on behalf of associations, developers, general contractors and subcontractors. While working at the firm, Ms. Marx was selected to co-author a chapter in the American Bar Association’s book entitled “Florida Construction Law,” published in 2001.

In 2006, Ms. Marx relocated to Colorado and, upon successful admission to the Colorado Bar in February 2007, she received the honor of working alongside the Honorable Margie Enquist, as a judicial law clerk. During her clerkship she received invaluable experience, and was allowed the opportunity to collaborate with the Honorable Margie Enquist in drafting judicial orders on civil, domestic, and criminal cases.

After successfully completing her clerkship, Ms. Marx decided to open her own law firm – the Marx Law Office, L.L.C., where she has excelled in many different areas of the law. Ms. Marx has served as Assistant General Counsel to the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (“InterNACHI”) from 2015 to 2017. While working as Assistant General Counsel with InterNACHI, Ms. Marx was able to perfect her legal skills as they relate to both running, and representing, a successful business.

Ms. Marx proudly serves as a contributing legal correspondent for KOAA NBC News [Channel 5] in Colorado Springs and speaks in legal seminars and the Colorado Bar Association continuing legal education classes. Ms. Marx is dedicated to the practice of law, and takes the Oath of Admissions she swore to uphold when receiving her licenses in Florida and Colorado, very seriously. Ms. Marx is proud of the reputation she has developed within the judiciary, and is excited to share her knowledge and passion with you.

In her spare time, Ms. Marx enjoys spending as much time as possible with her two children and being outdoors – skiing, camping, hiking, running, biking and playing tennis and golf.
